Università degli studi di Milano-Bicocca

Milan is one of Europe’s most popular cities to visit. Its ancient history, traditions and industrial vocation make it a pleasant place combining fun, work, culture and sport.

The University of Milano-Bicocca runs a wide range of degree courses and post-graduate courses including Master’s, proficiency and advanced courses, PhDs and specialisation schools.

Every year, the University of Milano-Bicocca welcomes around 2,200 international students from all over the world. Of these, around 300 come to Milan on various programmes (Exchange, Erasmus, Double Degree or PhD) for a period of one or two semesters. The majority of the international students are Prospective Students, or students who study for an entire degree course at our university.

The Bicocca campus is located in the Milanese district of the same name, which was once home to large industrial companies such as Pirelli and Breda. The new university became part of a large-scale redevelopment project launched around 1986 and coordinated by the architect Vittorio Gregotti. The 21 buildings occupied by the university are all located in the Bicocca district, with the exception of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, which is located next to the San Gerardo university hospital in Monza.
